Kikan S Illustration Magazine No. 61 Book Review

It’s been a while since I reviewed an issue of Kikan S, a popular quarterly illustration magazine that showcases some of the most prominent artists working in Japan right now. Some of the anchor illustrators with the magazine include Range Murata, who usually provides the art work for the foldout poster ( image below ) and also Yoko Tanji.

The theme for this issue ( April 2018 ) is “Female Warriors”, and the cover art is illustrated by Air Gear manga artist Ito Ogure.

An excellent quarterly magazine that keeps you informed on the latest artists and illustrators working in the Japanese industry. Kikan S magazine is a a periodical and the reprint cycle is limited, so get your copy before it goes out of print.
